About this opportunity

The City of Columbus, Ohio is soliciting a service contract for roof maintenance across its portfolio of more than 100 municipal buildings, with proposals due October 9, 2026. The contractor must hold Soprema and Garland roof certifications, a capability filter that narrows the bidder pool.

The scope encompasses preventive and routine maintenance across multiple roof types — bituminous, shingled, metal, EPDM, TPO, and PVC — with the primary objective of extending asset lifespan and ensuring structural integrity. The contractor will identify potential issues proactively, coordinate with the City on major repairs, and upload roof inspection reports into the City's Asset Planner data system, integrating with the Facility Management Division's asset tracking.

The budgeted amount is $500,000. No contract term is stated. Place of performance is across City-owned facilities throughout Columbus, with a list of buildings attached to the RFP. The source does not identify an incumbent contractor, evaluation criteria, or a timeline for pre-proposal questions or pre-bid meetings.
