About this opportunity
The California Military Department is seeking bids for a Roll-Up Door & Door Operator Replacement project located at the Stockton CSMS (Camp Service and Maintenance Site) at 8020 S. Airport Way, Stockton, CA 95206. The procurement involves replacing two commercial duty vinyl sectional overhead doors and door operators, which includes removing and disposing of existing infrastructure, installing new steel roll-up doors with a gray finish, connecting doors to operators, installing precision springs, safety rollers, inside slide locks, and weather-stripping. Bidders must possess a D-28 - Doors, Gates and Activating Devices license, with the prime contractor required to self-perform at least 20% of the total contract work. Key procurement dates include a Q&A end date of September 2, 2025 at 4:00 PM, with all questions submitted to Robert Hawkins at Robert.Hawkins@cmd.ca.gov, and a bid opening scheduled for September 15, 2025 at 2:00 PM. The contract allows 180 calendar days for project completion, with bid evaluation based on the lowest responsive bid from a qualified, responsible bidder. Contractors can schedule optional site visits by contacting SSG Brandy Llamas or CPT Garrett Sawtelle, though site visits are not mandatory.
The procurement includes potential set-aside preferences for Small Business (SB) and Disabled Veteran Business Enterprise (DVBE) vendors, with possible 5% bid preferences for certified SB or DVBE bidders, or a 10% preference for firms certified as both. Bidders must submit various forms including a Non-Collusion Affidavit, Small Business Preference Request, and Bidder Declaration, and must comply with requirements such as the Buy Clean California Act for eligible materials. Bids must be emailed to PWC@cmd.ca.gov with the subject line "BID FOR EVENT# 36444 - DO NOT OPEN" and must include a signed copy of Addendum 01, which corrected minor terminology inconsistencies in the original solicitation. While a specific award value is not explicitly stated, the procurement is structured as a single lump sum quotation that includes all contractor costs. The project spans jurisdictions including San Joaquin County, Tahoe Vista CDP, West Sacramento City, Sacramento County, and San Joaquin City, indicating a broader regional scope for this infrastructure improvement initiative.
