The Arizona Department of Transportation (ADOT) is requesting bids for sidewalk and drainage improvements on Rodeo Road in Navajo County between Hillside Drive and SR 77, with bids due August 7, 2026 at 11:00 a.m. Mountain Standard Time. Bidders must be prequalified with ADOT and listed on the project Plansholder List as a Prime Contractor; electronic bidding is mandatory.
The scope includes adding curb, gutter, and sidewalk adjacent to Rodeo Road; extending a reinforced concrete box culvert; installing storm drain pipe, inlets, and junction structures; and performing grading, minor paving, and slope stabilization work. The work is located in the Town of Snowflake and requires coordination with Town and County authorities on haul routes, hauling hours, and traffic control, including flagging operations during school hours at the adjacent junior high school. Working hours are 7:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Monday through Friday, with weekend work available by advance notice and Resident Engineer approval.
The programmed contract amount is $1,683,000 with a contract completion requirement of 120 working days. Bidders must submit a proposal guaranty of 10 percent of the bid amount and, upon award, execute a Performance Bond and Payment Bond each in 100 percent of the bid amount, along with an Insurance Certificate and Contract Agreement.
All contractors must be duly licensed under Arizona Revised Statutes 32-1101 through 32-1170.03 and comply with minimum wage rates established by the Secretary of Labor. During ADOT's transition period for Disadvantaged Business Enterprise program recertification, no DBE contract goals are set; however, contractors are encouraged to employ reasonable means to obtain DBE neutral efforts and must retain tracking records. The project is subject to Title VI of the Civil Rights Act and federal equal employment opportunity provisions. Contract documents are available at no charge through the ADOT Contracts and Specifications website.
