About this opportunity

The Dallas Area Rapid Transit Authority (DART) is procuring a single item: a rod hanger with a 3/16" diameter manufactured from Type 304 stainless steel (specification number 2099090). This purchase order opportunity is open to qualified vendors capable of meeting DART's strict delivery and quality requirements. The procurement specifies that all bids must include FOB Destination shipping terms with freight costs incorporated into the overall price, and the Authority explicitly does not accept FOB Origin or Prepay and Add terms. Bidders must acknowledge that delivery time and rate are essential to the order, with failure to meet specified delivery schedules constituting grounds for rejection and default termination. The bid due date is May 11, 2026, with the opportunity posted on May 4, 2026. Vendors must register with the BONFIRE system to access the complete bid table and project details, and all responses must be submitted through the in-browser bidding portal. The successful vendor must warrant that supplies are of merchantable quality, suitable for intended use, and comply with all product descriptions and specifications; payment terms are Net 30 from receipt of invoice or order, whichever is later, with invoices submitted in triplicate to APInvoices@dart.org.

The procurement documents do not explicitly reference set-aside designations for disadvantaged enterprises, minority-owned businesses, or women-owned businesses, though vendors must comply with equal opportunity employment requirements and certifications regarding foreign terrorist organizations and Israel boycott provisions as standard conditions. No incumbent vendors or current contractors are identified in the available documentation. There is no specified budget range or award value disclosed in the procurement posting. DART reserves the right to terminate the order for convenience or default, with termination for convenience limiting the Authority's liability to payment for accepted deliveries or completed services provided prior to termination. Prospective bidders should consult the complete Purchase Order Terms and Conditions document available in the Supporting Documentation section to understand all contractual obligations and requirements before submitting proposals.
