About this opportunity
The Commonwealth of Kentucky, Division of Purchases, is seeking bids for Rock Salt Hauling Services to KYTC Districts 1-12. The successful bidders will be required to provide a minimum of five trucks to haul rock salt from the Louisville Storage Facility to designated County Maintenance Storage Facilities within each of the 12 KYTC Districts. The initial contract period is from the award date through September 30, 2023, with the option to extend for up to four additional one-year periods. Bids are due by 1:30 pm on December 20, 2022, and a tentative award date is set for December 28, 2022. Bidders will be evaluated and awarded on a district-by-district basis, with the highest composite score per district receiving the number one contract. Pricing will be the sole evaluation criteria, worth a maximum of 100 points, and Kentucky resident bidder and qualified bidder preferences will be applied.
The Commonwealth reserves the right to utilize lower-ranked vendors if the top-ranked vendor is unable to provide the required trucks. Multiple contracts may be awarded per district. The RFB does not specify any set-aside designations or restrictions on the types of organizations that can respond. The RFB also does not list any incumbent vendors or current contractors, nor does it provide any information about existing infrastructure or technology that requires integration. The RFB does not include any listed award values or budget ranges.
