About this opportunity

The scope requires 1,008 robots minimum (36 per elementary school across 28 schools) for K–2 and 540 robots minimum (45 per middle school across 12 middle schools) for 6–8. Proposals must include pricing for robotic units, replacement parts, batteries, professional development, online storage, competitive equipment, and competitive events in a standardized bid table format. All deliveries are FOB to the District with vendor bearing shipping costs and risk. Product warranties commence upon delivery to each site.

Evaluation proceeds in three phases: Phase I technical questionnaire (60 points, 48 required to advance), Phase II vendor demonstrations (40 points), and Phase III cost proposals (20 points), totaling 120 points. Vendor demonstrations are scheduled for the week of May 2–6, 2022. Questions are due March 25, 2022, with written responses posted by March 28, 2022.

The initial contract term runs through July 2023, with four optional one-year renewal terms subject to Board approval and mutual agreement. Either party may terminate without cause upon 30 days' written notice; the District may terminate for lack of funding at the end of any fiscal year with 30 days' notice. Offerors must maintain minimum general liability insurance of $1 million per occurrence and $2 million aggregate, along with workers' compensation coverage. All proposals must be submitted electronically via Bonfire and include signed certifications of non-collusion, non-discrimination, immigration compliance, and acknowledgment of addenda. The Board issued its Notice of Award on June 15, 2022, selecting Lego Education for K–2 and Vex Robotics for K–2 and 6–8.
