About this opportunity

The Board of Commissioners of Glynn County, Georgia is seeking professional engineering services for a comprehensive roadway and pavement assessment project covering county-owned roads. The procurement opportunity, identified by the State Local Contract Opportunity ID 67e137846265a407a702405e, specifically requires a qualified firm to conduct pavement condition assessment and analysis services, including traffic striping condition evaluation. Contractors will be expected to utilize the County's GIS Network to perform these assessments, with the primary goal of generating a detailed analysis of road infrastructure conditions. The solicitation was posted on March 19, 2025, with proposals due by April 23, 2025. Qualified firms must demonstrate expertise in engineering, GIS mapping, and infrastructure condition assessment, with the ability to provide comprehensive and accurate reporting. The county reserves the right to award all or only a portion of the described services, selecting the option most advantageous to their needs.

While specific set-aside designations are not explicitly detailed in the provided documentation, the procurement appears to be open to professional engineering firms with demonstrated capabilities in road infrastructure assessment. The opportunity is specifically situated within Dooly County (FIPS Code 13093), which suggests potential local vendor preference might be considered. An attached government file indicates the county is transitioning to an e-Procurement Portal developed with OpenGov, which will facilitate electronic bid submissions and vendor management. Vendors are required to create an account in the new system to participate in the bidding process. The procurement documents suggest this is a professional services contract, likely with a value determined by the scope and complexity of the road assessment required. Potential respondents should carefully review the e-Procurement Portal guidelines and ensure they meet the technical and professional qualifications necessary to successfully complete the roadway and pavement assessment project.
