Bids must be accompanied by a certified check, cashier's check, or bid bond payable to the City of Lake Charles for 5% of the base bid and all alternates. The successful bidder must furnish a performance and payment bond equal to 100% of the contract amount, issued by a surety approved by the U.S. Department of the Treasury Financial Management Service. The contract must be executed within 15 days of the Notice of Award, and no bidder may withdraw a bid within 45 days after the opening date.
The City will award to the lowest responsible bid submitted in compliance with specifications and reserves the right to reject any and all bids.
