About this opportunity

The Dallas Area Rapid Transit Authority (DART) is soliciting bids for the procurement of a Ring, Oil Low Pressure Piston in a 3-piece set (Item #2098136). This is a goods procurement through the state of Texas for Dallas County. The deliverable consists of a complete 3-piece ring and piston assembly, with specifications and exact quantities to be accessed through the BONFIRE registration system and in-browser BidTable. Vendors must ensure all bids reflect FOB Destination shipping terms with freight costs fully included in the overall price, as DART does not accept FOB Origin or Prepay and Add arrangements. Delivery timelines are critical to this procurement, with seller failure to meet specified delivery schedules constituting grounds for rejection and default termination. The proposal due date is March 20, 2026, with registration and bid submission initiated through the BONFIRE platform. Required qualifications include compliance with all purchase order terms and conditions, submission of invoices in triplicate to APInvoices@dart.org containing complete itemization and pricing details, and adherence to Net 30 payment terms.

The documentation does not explicitly identify any set-aside designations for disadvantaged enterprises, minority-owned businesses, or other restricted categories, though vendors must certify compliance with equal opportunity employment commitments and verify that neither they nor their affiliates are identified on the Texas Comptroller's list of companies with foreign terrorist organization contracts or engage in boycotts of Israel. No incumbent vendors or current contractors are referenced in the available procurement materials. Supplies must meet merchantable quality standards, be suitable for intended use, comply with all specifications, and be covered by the most favorable commercial warranties provided to any customer. The specific contract award value or budget range is not disclosed in the posted opportunity materials and would be accessible only through the detailed BONFIRE BidTable upon registration and initiation of the submission process.
