About this opportunity
The Texas Department of Public Safety is requesting bids on rifle optics for the Texas Rangers Division under IFB 405-26R0021200, with responses due August 21, 2026 at 5:00 p.m. Central Time and anticipated award on August 24, 2026.
The scope comprises three line items: 33 units of SOTMC11002 Tango-MSR Compact Scope (1–6x magnification, illuminated BDC-6 reticle, factory-mounted aluminum cantilever, 26.5 ounces); 31 units of SOR2M101 Universal Reflex Sight 45 Degree Offset Mount (PRO RX footprint, compatible with Shield, Holosun, Leupold, Trijicon, and Sig Sauer); and 33 units of SOR1P100 Romeo1Pro (3 MOA reticle, motion-activated technology, steel shroud, night vision compatible), plus freight. All items must be black, waterproof, shockproof, and fog-proof where applicable. Manufacturers may submit equal or superior alternatives to specified models.
Bidders must submit pricing on the mandatory pricing schedule in the exact format provided, including all costs, fees, licenses, and expenses for delivery. DPS makes no minimum purchase guarantee and will not pay until the Contract Monitor approves commodities and authorizes invoice submission. Bidders may offer prompt payment discounts at 10, 20, or 30 days. All bids remain valid for 180 days after solicitation opening.
The contract term commences on the purchase-order effective date and expires one year from that date, with DPS retaining the right to extend for up to six months for re-advertising, award, or transition. The contract is as-needed, as-requested with no guaranteed minimum purchases.
Bidders must provide audited financial statements for the last two years or alternative documentation of financial stability demonstrating ability to perform. Responses must be submitted electronically to DPS_Solicit_Response@dps.texas.gov or via the DPS Online Bid Room. DPS reserves the right to reject any or all bids, accept other than the lowest priced bid, waive minor irregularities, award multiple contracts to different bidders per line item, or award no contract.
