About this opportunity

The City of Gilbert is requesting qualifications for an Architect-Engineer firm to serve as Construction Manager at Risk for the Western Powerline Trail Phase 6 & 7 project, with proposals due October 6, 2026. The procurement follows Arizona Revised Statutes Section 34-601 et seq., the statutory framework for CM@R project delivery.

The scope encompasses design and construction of approximately 3 miles of regional multi-use pathway corridor extending from the east side of Lindsay Road to the east side of Recker Road. Improvements consist of a 10–12 inch paved multi-use pathway with associated landscaping and lighting installations. The selected firm will manage the project delivery under the CM@R methodology, coordinating design and construction phases and developing a guaranteed maximum price during the pre-construction phase.

Evaluation emphasizes the firm's qualifications, relevant experience with similar multi-use pathway projects, project management expertise under CM@R delivery, and ability to coordinate design and construction phases. Compensation and pricing terms are negotiated following selection; the selected firm bears responsibility for GMP development and control during project execution.
