About this opportunity

The Commonwealth of Massachusetts Department of Public Health is issuing a Request for Response (RFR) for a Hospital Laboratory Reagent Agreement (RFR 193225). The initial contract term will be from March 1, 2019 to June 30, 2025, with an option to renew for up to one additional year. The selected vendor will be responsible for providing a comprehensive chemistry testing system, including the analyzer, reagents, consumables, maintenance, service, training, and an interface to the hospital's information system. The vendor must be capable of performing a wide range of chemistry, therapeutic drug monitoring, and urine drug screening tests. The cost proposal must be submitted as an all-inclusive "cost per reagent". Evaluation criteria include cost, analyzer capabilities, bidder qualifications, service capabilities, and overall bid quality. Proposals are due by February 21, 2019 at 4 PM through the Commonwealth's COMMBUYS procurement platform.

The Commonwealth is encouraging participation from Minority and Women Business Enterprises (M/WBEs) and Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Business Enterprises (SDVOBEs) through its Supplier Diversity Program. The incumbent vendor is Siemens Healthcare, and Beckman Coulter Inc. also submitted a proposal. No specific budget range or award value is provided, but the contract will be awarded to the selected vendor through the Commonwealth's competitive procurement process.
