About this opportunity

The City of Fort Worth is requesting quotes for small arms ammunition to supply the Police Department Crime Lab on an as-needed basis under RFQt 2026-06-12, with quotes due June 12, 2026. The solicitation is subject to the City's Small Business Program under Ordinance No. 27832-08-2025.

All ammunition must be new, recent-manufacture, and SAAMI-compliant, with lot numbers and manufacture dates marked on packaging or included in invoices and shipping documents. Specific ammunition types and quantities are detailed in Bid Table BT-23BO. Bidders are not required to bid on all items for award consideration; the City reserves the right to make multiple awards and accept bids on individual items, combinations, or an overall basis.

Delivery must occur to the Fort Worth Police Department Crime Lab at 3616 East Lancaster Avenue within 30 days of Purchase Order receipt, Monday through Friday between 8:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m., excluding observed holidays. The contract term is one year with options to renew for four additional one-year periods at the City's discretion; the City may cancel with 30 calendar days' written notice if funds are not appropriated. Pricing must remain firm for the contract term and include all freight and delivery costs.

Unit price adjustments may be requested annually in conjunction with renewal, requiring 90 days' advance written notice with proof of cost increases; the City reserves the right to reject adjustment requests or allow contracts to expire. Successful bidders must register for direct deposit and submit invoices electronically with payment terms of Net 30 Days.

Quote evaluation includes unit price, total price, terms and discounts, delivery date, testing sample results, vendor past performance, vendor responsibility assessment, demurrage and freight costs, and estimated maintenance and surplus value. Bidders must submit completed RFQt-01 forms, a completed bid table, Small Business Enterprise certificates if applicable, and acknowledgment of compliance with the City's Standard Terms and Conditions through the electronic bidding platform. The period for acceptance of quotes is 90 calendar days after opening. Form W-9 and Conflict of Interest Questionnaire (Form CIQ) are required, with the CIQ due not later than the 7th business day after becoming aware of facts requiring disclosure under Texas Local Government Code Chapter 176.
