About this opportunity

The City of Phoenix is requesting qualifications for construction administration and inspection services on the Lift Station 47 Redundant Force Main project, with qualifications due October 30, 2026. The scope covers a new 12-inch HDPE redundant force main approximately 9,480 linear feet in length, running south along 113th Drive from Lift Station 47 to Indian School Road, then east to 99th Avenue where it discharges into the gravity sewer. The existing 12-inch DIP force main will remain operational. Work includes reconfiguration of the lift station discharge header and coordination with multiple agencies for utility relocations along the alignment.

Qualified firms must demonstrate experience in water infrastructure projects involving force main construction, utility coordination, and agency liaison work. The RFQ establishes requirements for inspector qualifications, reporting protocols, and documentation standards to ensure compliance with design specifications and applicable regulations throughout construction. The project is funded through the municipality's capital improvement program for wastewater infrastructure enhancement. Place of performance spans Maricopa County and the City of Phoenix, Arizona.

Opportunity text

The 12-inch Ductile Iron Pipe (DIP) force main is approximately 9,480 linear feet. It extends south along 113th Drive from the lift station to Indian School Road. At Indian School Road the force main turns and extends east to 99th Avenue where it discharges into the gravity sewer. This project involves the construction of a new 12-inch high density polyethylene (HDPE) redundant force main that will follow the same alignment and discharge into the same manhole that the current DIP force main discharges into. Additionally, the lift station discharge header will be reconfigured. Coordination with multiple agencies and relocation of various utilities along the alignment will be needed.
