About this opportunity
The California Department of Technology (CDT), Office of Professional Development (TEC), located in Sacramento County, is seeking a vendor to provide instructor-led Mainframe Training Curriculum through a Request For Quote (RFQ) 15-2052507. The procurement is for a two-year training services contract with an optional one-year extension, focused on delivering mainframe training courses during standard state business hours (8:00 AM - 4:30 PM, Monday through Friday) at the TEC facility in Rancho Cordova. The primary deliverable is a comprehensive mainframe training curriculum that will be conducted on-site, with potential for mutually agreed alternative arrangements. Specific training details and performance expectations are outlined in Exhibit A Statement of Work (SOW). The solicitation was posted on June 3, 2016, with a response deadline of June 17, 2016. Interested vendors must carefully review the RFQ documentation and prepare quotes that demonstrate their capability to meet the training curriculum requirements, which likely include instructor qualifications, course content depth, and proven expertise in mainframe technologies.
While the RFQ documentation does not explicitly indicate specific set-aside designations or restrictions on respondent types, vendors should anticipate standard state procurement requirements for qualification. No incumbent vendor information was provided in the available documentation. The training will be delivered at the CDT Training and Education Center located at 10860 Gold Center Drive, Rancho Cordova, CA 95670, which suggests existing technological infrastructure will be available for course delivery. Though specific budget ranges were not detailed in the provided materials, the two-year contract with a potential one-year extension implies a substantial commitment to professional development training. Potential vendors should be prepared to provide competitive pricing for a comprehensive mainframe training curriculum that meets the California Department of Technology's specific educational and skill development needs.
