About this opportunity

The City of Atlanta Department of Aviation (DOA) has issued a Request for Proposals (RFP) for comprehensive plumbing repair and maintenance services at Hartfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport. This procurement (RFP/PS/DOA/2502-1250130) seeks qualified contractors to provide 24/7/365 plumbing services encompassing labor, materials, and equipment for repairs, preventive maintenance, retrofits, and new installations across all DOA-managed facilities. The scope of services requires contractors to be prepared to respond to plumbing needs at any time, with the ability to handle complex maintenance and repair tasks in a critical infrastructure environment. The solicitation was posted on March 10, 2025, with proposals due by April 16, 2025, indicating a approximately five-week response window for interested contractors. While specific evaluation criteria are not detailed in the provided information, contractors can reasonably expect to be assessed on technical capabilities, response time, expertise in airport facility maintenance, and comprehensive service offerings.

The contract opportunity does not explicitly outline set-aside designations or specific restrictions for disadvantaged business enterprises based on the provided information. No incumbent vendors or current contractors are mentioned in the documentation. The procurement appears to be structured as an as-needed service contract, which suggests potential flexibility in contract value and scope. While specific budget ranges are not specified, airport infrastructure maintenance contracts typically represent significant financial opportunities, potentially ranging from several hundred thousand to multiple million dollars depending on the volume and complexity of required services. Interested contractors should be prepared to demonstrate significant plumbing expertise, particularly in complex institutional settings like international airport facilities, with proven capabilities in emergency and routine maintenance scenarios.
