About this opportunity

The City of Mountlake Terrace is soliciting proposals for replacement of a steel transmission pole and installation of fiber optic cable, with proposals due July 21, 2026. Contractors must be listed on the District's Small Works Roster and currently prequalified for Category A-2, Overhead Line Construction (Transmission, 115kV) prior to bidding — a hard eligibility requirement that filters the bidding pool.

The scope includes setting one 125-foot steel pole with a 22-foot steel casing and gravel backfill; installing 115kV and 12kV framing per drawing T134-17C; removing the existing wood pole structure SK-HL#2 8/10; and installing approximately 1,100 feet of new fiber optic cable with new fiber framing on six structures and one splice box per drawings T134-F23 and T134-17C. The contractor must coordinate with the City of Mountlake Terrace on tree trimming in the adjacent park area prior to work commencement to prevent damage to existing vegetation, and must restore all work areas to their natural state using native vegetation per the city's restoration standards.

No contract value, term, or financial details are stated in the solicitation.
