RFP #GCPL-2402 Server Virtualization

Paragraph 1:

The Gwinnett County Public Library (GCPL) has issued a Request for Proposals (RFP) for Server Virtualization (RFP #GCPL-2402). GCPL is seeking qualified offerors to provide data center hardware, software, and professional services to upgrade their VMware and Veeam environments, install new servers and storage, and provide ongoing maintenance and support. The library supports multiple operating system platforms and expects to serve over 5,000 devices, including IoT devices. Key project objectives include enhancing server virtualization capabilities, improving data backup and disaster recovery, and providing managed internal broadband services at the library's headquarters and disaster recovery locations. Proposals are due by February 23, 2024, and GCPL intends to select a contractor and award a contract by April 15, 2024.

Paragraph 2:

The RFP does not specify any set-aside designations or restrictions on the types of organizations that can respond. GCPL reserves the right to make multiple awards and will be responsible for administering the contract. Funding for this project will come from GCPL's operating budget, which is primarily supported by the Gwinnett County government, with additional funding from state grants and library-generated revenue. The RFP does not provide any information about incumbent vendors or existing technology that requires integration.
