The procurement seeks sealed bids for the purchase and installation of a 5-foot-high black vinyl-coated chain-link fence system with specific material requirements including 2-inch diamond pattern, 8-gauge extruded knuckle wire, 1-inch diameter line posts and 2-inch diameter terminal posts embedded 42 inches deep in concrete footings, and 1-inch diameter rails measuring 21 feet long. The scope includes installation of multiple gate configurations: four 12-foot by 5-foot double gates, one 10-foot by 5-foot double gate, and six 5-foot single gates, all featuring residential post hinges with strong arm latches or zip latches as specified. Sealed bids will be accepted in person or by mail only until 10:00 AM on April 1, 2026, at the Education Service Center located at 1415 South Beechtree Street, Grand Haven, Michigan 49417. Each bid submission must include one original and one copy accompanied by a notarized Familial Disclosure Statement and an Affidavit of Compliance to the Iran Economic Sanctions Act, with all proposals remaining firm for ninety days from submission. The contractor must contact Miss Dig 811 to locate underground utilities before construction and obtain Director of Operations approval prior to any core boring or dig work, with awareness that some on-site underground items may not be identifiable through the Miss Dig service.
The procurement documents do not specify set-aside designations, disadvantaged enterprise requirements, incumbent vendors, or existing infrastructure integration requirements. No contract award value or budget range is disclosed in the available bid documents. The Grand Haven Area Public Schools Board of Education reserves the right to accept or reject any or all bids, waive any informality, or award the contract to other than the low bidder based on the District's best interest. Electronic bid submissions are not permitted; all proposals must be submitted in physical form.
