About this opportunity
The Commonwealth of Kentucky is seeking proposals from qualified architectural firms to provide design and planning services for the construction of a new 10,000 square foot multi-purpose activity center for the Kentucky Department of Education's Future Farmers of America (FFA) Leadership Training Center in Hardinsburg, Kentucky. The $6,000,000 project will include a gymnasium, classrooms, a conference/board room, a canteen/concession area, and other supporting spaces. The selected firm will be responsible for providing comprehensive architectural and engineering services, including site planning, design, and construction administration. Proposals are due by April 27, 2023, with a shortlist meeting on May 2, 2023, and interviews scheduled for May 12, 2023. The consultant team must include an architect, mechanical engineer, electrical engineer, structural engineer, civil engineer, landscape architect, and food service consultant, and the firm must be registered to conduct business in Kentucky.
The Commonwealth encourages the use of minority-owned design firms as part of the consultant team. The selected firm will be required to comply with Kentucky's equal employment and nondiscrimination laws, as well as provide access to project records as needed. The Commonwealth did not provide any information about set-aside designations, incumbent vendors, or existing infrastructure or technology requirements. The RFP also did not specify a budget range or award value.
