About this opportunity
The DeKalb County School District (DCSD) in Georgia is seeking qualified offerors to provide a complete food service sanitation training system through RFP 25-20 for School Nutrition Sanitation Training Services & Materials. The successful offeror will be required to deliver documented instruction and training for personnel, color coded Safety Data Sheets, mixing and use posters, a hands-free paper towel program, management and inventory control system, and a documented routine reporting system. The offeror will also provide monthly delivery of all cleaning products and detailed training on safe working practices and the use of cleaning chemicals and supplies to all DCSD School Nutrition Managers and Food Service Assistants. Proposals are due by September 10, 2024, and a virtual pre-proposal conference will be held on August 22, 2024. The initial contract term is one year with four optional one-year renewals.
While the RFP does not mention any specific set-aside requirements, DCSD indicates it will provide maximum practicable opportunities to minority firms, women's business enterprises, and labor surplus area firms. The RFP does not provide information on incumbent vendors, current contractors, or award values, but the proposed pricing shall be for implementation and delivery of the specified sanitation system and products on an annual basis, with monthly billings based on the annual program cost divided by the number of months in the academic year. Dish machine products and walk-in freezer cleaner will be billed separately, and DCSD reserves the right to make multiple awards.
