About this opportunity
The Union County School District in Georgia is seeking established providers of English Language Arts (ELA) curriculum and instructional materials for grades Kindergarten through 5 through a Request for Proposal (RFP) process. The selected curriculum must align with the Georgia Standards of Excellence (GSE) and meet the foundational literacy skills and structured literacy requirements outlined in HB 538. The District requires a comprehensive, evidence-based ELA curriculum that effectively supports teaching and learning for all students, including specific requirements related to Lexile measures, complex texts, reading strategies, writing instruction, academic language acquisition, and assessments. Proposals are due by May 20, 2024, and the District intends to award the contract at its first regular or called Board meeting after the due date. Evaluation criteria includes cost, experience, qualifications, product quality, and other factors to determine the most advantageous offer.
This RFP does not appear to include any set-aside designations or restrictions on the types of organizations that can respond. The RFP does not list any incumbent vendors or current contractors, nor does it specify any existing infrastructure or technology that requires integration. While the RFP does not provide an exact award value or budget range, it requests pricing for one, two, and three-year contract terms, indicating the District is open to various contract durations based on the proposals received.
