About this opportunity

The state of Georgia is seeking proposals for RFP 2025-01 Elevated Tank Water Storage Maintenance Program, a comprehensive water infrastructure maintenance project. The Request for Proposal (RFP) solicits professional services for maintenance and renovation of multiple municipal water storage tanks across different locations, including tanks on Highway 41, Tucker Road, Armory, and Valley Drive. The contract will be initially awarded for one year with potential automatic renewals for up to four additional years, with a required 120-day termination notice provision. Proposals are due on April 7, 2025, and must acknowledge receipt of the addendum issued on March 31, 2025. The RFP indicates that recent maintenance work has already been performed on these tanks, including exterior renovations, interior touch-ups, pressure washing, vent repairs, and washout inspections between 2023 and 2025. While specific evaluation criteria are not explicitly detailed in the addendum, the document suggests that vendors will need to demonstrate capabilities in water tank maintenance, renovation, and inspection services.

The addendum does not specify set-aside designations or restrictions on respondent types, nor does it provide explicit information about disadvantaged enterprise participation. The current document does not list incumbent vendors or provide specific budget ranges for the maintenance program. Recent maintenance history suggests the project involves work on multiple municipal water tanks, indicating a local government infrastructure maintenance initiative. The contract appears to be structured for ongoing maintenance with flexibility for renewal, which might be attractive to firms specializing in water infrastructure maintenance and renovation. While no precise award value is mentioned, the multi-year potential and involvement of multiple tank sites suggests a substantial and potentially lucrative contract opportunity for qualified maintenance service providers. Interested contractors should carefully review the full RFP documentation and be prepared to demonstrate expertise in water storage tank maintenance, renovation techniques, and comprehensive inspection protocols.
