About this opportunity
The County of San Diego, Department of Behavioral Health Services, is issuing a Request for Information on specialty mental health services for LGBTQ+ youth and young adults up to age 21, with written responses due October 19, 2026 at 5:00 PM San Diego Time through the BuyNet system. This is an information-gathering exercise only and does not constitute a formal procurement action or commitment to contract.
The RFI solicits stakeholder input on six areas: existing gaps and challenges in delivering outpatient Specialty Mental Health Services to LGBTQ+ youth in San Diego County; effective engagement strategies; methods to increase referrals from schools and community partners; access improvement opportunities; coordination strengthening between providers and LGBTQ+ organizations; and any additional relevant input. A virtual industry day is scheduled for October 5, 2026 at 11:00 AM San Diego Time via Microsoft Teams. Questions and requests for clarification must be submitted in writing through BuyNet's "Discussions" functionality by October 12, 2026 at 5:00 PM.
No compensation is available for RFI responses; all costs are the responsibility of respondents. The County reserves unrestricted use of all submitted information and may disclose responses under the California Public Records Act. This RFI does not preclude organizations from participating in any future solicitations related to LGBTQ+ youth mental health services in San Diego County.
