About this opportunity
The County of San Diego Department of Purchasing and Contracting is issuing RFI 13294 for electronic health record solutions at Edgemoor, a County-operated behavioral health distinct part skilled nursing facility, with written responses due August 25, 2026 at 5:00 PM San Diego time.
This is a market-research RFI only and does not constitute a commitment to issue a future solicitation or contract. The County will not reimburse response preparation costs. Respondents must submit answers to a 12-question questionnaire electronically through BuyNet. A virtual RFI meeting is scheduled for August 20, 2026 at 11:00 AM San Diego time via Microsoft Teams. Written clarifications and questions are due by August 12, 2026.
The scope seeks vendor input on EHR products and services, pharmacy and medication-management capabilities, clinical and interdisciplinary workflows, interoperability, implementation approaches, support models, and preliminary pricing structures. The County's current environment uses WellSky for portions of the resident record and PrimeRx for pharmacy services with no integrated electronic exchange between systems, creating reliance on paper, fax, duplicate entry, and manual transcription. The County seeks an integrated solution that replaces or integrates with WellSky while either integrating with PrimeRx or providing alternative pharmacy capabilities. The desired future state includes reduced manual handoffs, improved medication and order safety, support for behavioral health and skilled nursing workflows, strengthened regulatory compliance, and enhanced staff access to complete resident information.
No specific contract value, funding amount, contract term, or award date is outlined, as the primary objective is gathering information to inform the County's future acquisition strategy and budget planning. All information provided by respondents may be subject to disclosure under the California Public Records Act.
