About this opportunity

The Alaska Permanent Fund Corporation is requesting information for a 50th anniversary media collection project, with responses due July 17, 2026 at 2:00 p.m. AKST. This is an RFI, not a binding procurement; APFC does not guarantee selection, payment, publication, or future contract awards, though paid opportunities may follow for materials and services that align with identified needs.

APFC seeks professional-quality photographs, video materials, historical photos, quotes, archival materials, and research resources documenting Alaska's communities, people, work, intergenerational connections, and the state's past and present. Respondents may submit information about existing material collections, proposed new projects, or identified historical resources. The solicitation welcomes responses from photographers, videographers, historians, archivists, researchers, organizations, and archives.

Written responses should describe anticipated deliverables, provide relevant experience or work samples, identify rights and permissions considerations, and include timing and cost information for any proposed paid work. APFC anticipates requesting perpetual usage rights for selected final materials and will provide credit to contributors where format allows. Selected respondents may be asked to enter into an agreement confirming usage rights, deliverables, payment terms, release obligations, and crediting expectations.

Vendors must comply with Administrative Order 352 regarding boycotts of the State of Israel; however, this requirement does not apply to businesses with fewer than 10 employees or contracts valued below $100,000. Responses received after the July 17 deadline may still be welcomed and considered as part of APFC's ongoing information-gathering efforts. All questions must be directed in writing to Heather Pedersen at hpedersen@apfc.org or 907-723-7499.
