About this opportunity

Barrow County Board of Commissioners is seeking sealed bids for RFB2026-07, a procurement opportunity for one (1) new Medium Duty Rescue Unit for the Barrow County Fire Department. The solicitation is a competitive bidding process open to qualified vendors who can supply a specialized rescue vehicle meeting the department's specifications. Sealed bids will be received in the County Clerk's Office at 30 North Broad Street, Winder, Georgia until 2:00 p.m. local time on Thursday, November 20, 2025. Bids will be publicly opened in the Historic Courthouse Commissioners Meeting Room immediately following the submission deadline. All interested vendors must obtain detailed specifications from the Barrow County website (www.barrowga.org) and direct any inquiries to Cindy Clack, Purchasing Manager, via email at cclack@barrowga.org. The County reserves the right to waive informalities, reject any or all bids, and make awards based on the best interests of the owner.

The solicitation does not explicitly outline specific set-aside designations or restrictions for disadvantaged enterprises. No incumbent vendors or current contractors are mentioned in the available documentation. The bid documents do not provide specific pricing details, budget ranges, or award values for the Medium Duty Rescue Unit procurement. Vendors are required to submit sealed bids in envelopes clearly marked with "RFB2026-07 (New) Medium Duty Rescue Unit" and can submit their proposals by mail or in person to the specified county address. While the document does not detail specific technical requirements for the rescue unit, it indicates that comprehensive specifications are available on the county website. The procurement process allows for flexibility, with the county maintaining the right to reject bids without just cause and to select a proposal that best serves their interests. Potential bidders should carefully review the complete specifications and ensure their submissions meet all requirements outlined in the solicitation documents.
