About this opportunity

The Commonwealth of Kentucky, through the Department for Facilities and Support Services, Division of Engineering and Contract Administration, on behalf of the Kentucky Community & Technical College System (KCTCS), is soliciting competitive sealed bids for electrical infrastructure upgrades at Gateway Community and Technical College located in Florence, Kentucky (Boone County). This construction services procurement (Commodity Code 912) involves the installation of three electrical panelboards—two in I.M.C. Training Area 107 and one in Electronics Technology 138—to expand electrical infrastructure capacity in two laboratory spaces. The panelboards will provide new disconnects and ceiling-hung twist-lock outlets designed to power new laboratory teaching equipment. Bidders must submit electronically through the Owner's Document Collaboration System (eCommunications) via MOVEit secure upload, with the bid submission deadline extended to December 22, 2023, at 2:00 P.M. Eastern Time. A mandatory site visit was initially scheduled for November 28, 2023, at 11:00 A.M. at 500 Technology Way, Florence, Kentucky 41042, though Addendum One rescheduled it to December 7, 2023, at 10:00 A.M. Eastern Time. All bid documents, specifications, and drawings are available for free download through the State Plan Room at stateofkyplanroom.com, with hard copies available for purchase. Interested contractors must clearly identify their position as prime bidder, miscellaneous subcontractor, material supplier, or other entity, and must adhere to current state COVID guidelines for Commonwealth of Kentucky construction projects.

The solicitation documents do not specify set-aside designations, disadvantaged enterprise restrictions, incumbent vendors, or contract award values. Bidders are responsible for timely electronic submission, and no late bids will be accepted under any circumstances. The procurement is managed by Susan Ward, Statewide Procurement Analyst II, at the Division of Contract Administration (502-226-0335, Susan.Ward@ky.gov), and project-specific questions should be directed to Andrew Godoy at CMTA, Inc. (859-253-0892, agodoy@cmtaegrs.com). All bid results will be posted to the Lynn Imaging planroom following bid opening and review, and the successful bidder will be contacted if additional information is required. Contractors must ensure compliance with all addenda issued during the solicitation process, including Addendum One (site visit rescheduling) and Addendum Two (deadline extension), both of which are binding modifications to the original invitation to bid.
