About this opportunity
The Kentucky Parks Department is requesting bids on the replacement of an irrigation pump station at My Old Kentucky Home State Park in Bardstown, Kentucky under RFB-07-27, with bids due July 16, 2026 at 1:30 p.m. Eastern Time. The pump system and shelter must be single-sourced from MCI Pumping Systems/Flowtronics, a decision-flipping specification that constrains vendor eligibility.
The scope encompasses complete replacement of the existing irrigation pump station, including removal of existing equipment and shelter, installation of the new pump station and shelter, connection to the existing irrigation system, and new electrical work as required. Contractors must demonstrate experience with irrigation system installation and meet performance standards tied to system functionality and water efficiency. All bids must be submitted electronically through the Commonwealth's eProcurement system; bidders must be registered in the Vendor Self Service system prior to submission. Bidders must enter $0.00 as the contract amount in the e-procurement system, with the actual contract amount submitted on the Official Bid Document as an attachment.
Work is performed at My Old Kentucky Home State Park, Bardstown, Kentucky. A site visit is scheduled for June 15, 2026 at 12:30 p.m. Eastern Time at the My Old Kentucky Home Pro Shop (668 Loretto Road, Bardstown, KY 40004). Project plans, specifications, and drawings are available at https://www.stateofkyplanroom.com at no charge. A public bid reading will occur by conference call on the bid opening date at 3:00 p.m. Eastern Time, with results posted to the state's plan room following bid opening and review.
The contract will be awarded to the lowest responsive and responsible bidder. The successful bidder must provide performance bonds and maintain comprehensive liability insurance. All work must comply with applicable Kentucky regulations and industry standards. Contact Susan Ward, Purchasing Agent, at 502-226-0335 or Susan.Ward@ky.gov with procurement questions.
