About this opportunity

The California Office of Statewide Health Planning and Development (OSHPD) has issued a Request for Application (RFA) to evaluate the changing and emerging needs of the public mental/behavioral health workforce in California. The goal is to enter into a single contract to engage a qualified researcher in assessing the impacts of recent policy and regulatory changes on the workforce, as well as evaluating effective workforce planning models to address the needs of California's Public Mental Health System (PMHS). The selected applicant will be required to complete eight specific deliverables within a one-year contract period from May 2, 2016 to May 2, 2017. The total available funding for this RFA is $150,000, and applicants must submit detailed cost proposals broken down by the eight required deliverables. Payments will be made upon satisfactory completion of each deliverable.

The RFA is open to public, private, and non-profit organizations, including faith-based and community groups, that meet the stated minimum qualifications. OSHPD will evaluate applications based on the proposed methodology, applicant qualifications, project personnel, references, and cost. There are no set-aside designations or restrictions on the types of organizations that can respond. No incumbent vendors or current contractors are listed, and no existing infrastructure or technology requires integration. The maximum award value for this RFA is $150,000.
