About this opportunity

The City University of New York is soliciting sealed bids for the sale of one used Electromagnetic Articulography Wave System under a reverse auction, with bids due October 30, 2026 at 4:00 p.m. and an equipment inspection scheduled for October 16, 2026 at 11:00 a.m. at the College of Staten Island, Building 2S, Staten Island, New York. All equipment is located at the College of Staten Island, 2800 Victory Boulevard, Building 2S, Staten Island, NY 10314. The system is sold "as is" and "where is" with all faults; CUNY makes no warranties regarding condition, compliance, merchantability, or fitness for any purpose.

Interested bidders must notify Mark Zilberg, Finance Procurement Agent, by 4:00 p.m. on October 15, 2026 to confirm intent to inspect. Written questions must be submitted to Mark.Zilberg@csi.cuny.edu by 4:00 p.m. on October 21, 2026. Bid submissions must be made on the official Bid Form (Exhibit A) in a sealed envelope delivered to Building 3A Room 102 by 4:00 p.m. on October 30, 2026.

Bidders must submit a bid deposit equal to 10 percent of the total bid price as a cashier's check, certified check, or money order payable to The City University of New York. The selected buyer must remit final payment within five business days of receiving the Notice of Award and must remove all equipment within 15 days of final award. The buyer must maintain commercial general liability insurance of at least $1 million naming CUNY and related entities as additional insureds and must indemnify CUNY from all claims. No MWBE goals apply.
