About this opportunity
The Clayton County Water Authority (CCWA) in Georgia is seeking sealed bids for a Residual Biosolids Management project. The successful bidder will be responsible for the transportation and disposal of dewatered sludge produced at three of CCWA's water reclamation facilities - Northeast, Casey, and Shoal Creek. The estimated annual quantity is 5,000-6,000 wet tons, and the contract term is for one year with two potential one-year extensions. Bids are due by August 20, 2024 at 3:00 pm local time via a virtual teams meeting, and a non-mandatory pre-bid meeting will be held on August 6, 2024 at 3:00 pm local time. CCWA will award the contract to the lowest responsive, responsible bidder, considering factors such as the bidder's ability to perform the work, reputation, reasonableness of bid price, and proximity to CCWA facilities.
CCWA encourages small local, minority, and women-owned businesses to participate in this bid, and offers a 5% bid price discount for vendors providing an EPA-defined Class A Biosolids disposal option. The current contract is with ERTH Products Inc. at $79 per wet ton, and the successful bidder must comply with CCWA's risk management requirements. Payment terms are net 30 days, and CCWA reserves the right to purchase more or less based on actual need. A 5% SLBE bid discount is available for qualifying small local businesses located in Clayton County or the surrounding 10-county region.
