About this opportunity
The Town of Trumbull, located in Fairfield County, Connecticut, is soliciting proposals for Residential Real Estate Broker Services to facilitate the sale of selected municipal properties. The procurement seeks a licensed Real Estate Broker who is a member of the National Association of Realtors and Connecticut Association of Realtors, with demonstrated capabilities to market properties both locally and nationally. The selected broker will serve as the listing broker for Town properties, responsible for comprehensive marketing and listing services aimed at facilitating property sales. Key requirements include professional marketing strategies that extend both locally and nationally, with the broker's compensation structured as a percentage commission of the final sale price. The Request for Qualifications and Proposal (RFP) was posted on August 13, 2021, with a response deadline of August 31, 2021 at 3:00 PM EDT. A vendor question and answer period was established from August 13 to August 24, 2021, during which potential bidders could seek clarification about the solicitation. The primary evaluation criteria appear to focus on the broker's professional credentials, marketing capabilities, and demonstrated expertise in real estate sales.
The RFP does not specify any specific set-aside designations or restrictions on participating vendors, indicating the solicitation is open to all qualified real estate brokers. No incumbent vendors are mentioned, and there are no explicit requirements regarding disadvantaged business enterprise participation. The documentation does not provide an estimated total contract value or specific budget range for the services. Importantly, the compensation structure is entirely commission-based, meaning the broker will only receive payment upon the successful completion of a property sale, with no guaranteed minimum compensation. The procurement contact for this solicitation is Kevin Bova from the Town of Trumbull, who can be reached via email at kbova@trumbull-ct.gov or by phone at 203-452-5042. The contract terms, including duration and potential renewal options, are not explicitly detailed in the available documentation, leaving these aspects potentially open for negotiation with the selected broker.
