The required delivery vehicle must have a payload capacity of at least 7,000 lbs, a rear cargo space of at least 700 cubic feet, a lift gate, and a rear door height of at least 70". Key procurement dates include a bid submission deadline of April 3, 2025, at 2:00 p.m. PT, with an anticipated agreement award date of April 4, 2025. The contract term is three years, with potential options to amend funds and adjust service frequency, and an anticipated start date of July 1, 2025.

This procurement is specifically designated for California-certified small businesses (SB) or micro businesses (MB) under the "SB Option" allowed by Government Code Section 14838.5, which restricts bidding to these business types. The RFQ estimates 200 annual services of up to six cages/pallets, 60 annual services of more than six cages/pallets, and 4 Saturday pickups over the three-year period. Bidders must submit multiple attachments demonstrating qualifications, including compliance with California civil rights laws and various certification documents. While no specific budget range is detailed, the procurement is structured to support small business participation and local economic development. Bidders must maintain their California small business certification throughout the agreement term and any potential extensions, ensuring ongoing compliance with the procurement's core objectives of supporting smaller local enterprises in providing essential government logistics services.
