About this opportunity
Twin Rivers Unified School District (TRUSD) in Sacramento County, California, has issued Request for Proposals (RFP) No. P26-001 for bottled water delivery services and water filtration unit equipment and maintenance exclusively for district staff across 54 school sites and 4 administrative buildings. The procurement seeks qualified vendors to provide 5-gallon spring or purified water bottles, with an estimated annual requirement of 5,650 bottles, including hot/cold water cooler rentals, semi-annual cleaning, and maintenance. The RFP was released on July 28, 2025, with proposals due by 2:00 PM on August 18, 2025, and an anticipated contract start date of September 15, 2025. TRUSD will evaluate proposals using a 100-point scoring system, with the most significant weight on pricing (35 points), qualifications and experience (25 points), delivery logistics (15 points), account management (15 points), and equipment servicing (10 points). The district seeks a flexible service agreement that can accommodate both 5-gallon bottled water delivery with cooler rental and optional water filtration unit rentals, with the ability to scale services as needed and provide responsive customer support.
The RFP does not specify explicit set-aside designations or restrictions on responding organizations. Currently, 28 locations are utilizing bottled water services, and the district reserves the right to award multiple contracts to vendors offering bottled water delivery, water filtration units, or both. The initial contract term is one year, with potential for two additional one-year renewals. While specific budget ranges are not explicitly detailed, the solicitation suggests a comprehensive service approach that can flexibly adapt to the district's changing needs. The services are strictly for staff use and not intended for student consumption. Vendors will be expected to work closely with the District's Purchasing Department and designated site representatives to ensure ongoing service expectations are met, with the ability to add or remove participating locations throughout the contract term.
