About this opportunity
Ozaukee Nonprofit Center Inc. is seeking architectural and engineering services for a Connectivity and Workspace Expansion Initiative through a Request for Proposals (RFP) issued for the Ozaukee Nonprofit Center facility in Grafton, Wisconsin. The procurement is funded by the State of Wisconsin's Flexible Facilities Program and the U.S. Department of Treasury's Capital Projects Fund, targeting a comprehensive 4,500-square-foot renovation project. Specific deliverables include producing code-compliant and permit-ready design drawings, space planning, and cost estimation for improvements such as a redesigned main entrance, an outdoor Eco wellness space with raised gardens, telehealth access room modifications, ADA-compliant restroom upgrades, and enhancements to shared-use conference and meeting spaces. Proposals are due by 4:00 PM CDT on May 8, 2025, with a pre-submittal open house scheduled for May 1, 2025. The evaluation criteria will assess the project coordinator's experience, firm's project completion history, references, responsiveness to specifications, budget alignment, and minority/small business status. The anticipated contract award is set for June 15, 2025, with project construction expected to begin on October 1, 2025, and complete by September 30, 2026.
The RFP encourages proposals from small businesses, minority-owned business enterprises (MBEs), women-owned business enterprises (WBEs), disabled veteran-owned businesses (DVBs), and labor surplus area firms. Proposing firms must comply with federal and state grant requirements, including completing specific compliance forms such as Conflict of Interest Disclosure, Lobbying Certification, and Disclosure of Lobbying Activities. The project has a total budget of $505,000, with $70,000 specifically allocated for architectural and engineering services. While no incumbent vendors are mentioned, the project emphasizes community-focused improvements in digital connectivity and workspace accessibility. Ozaukee Nonprofit Center Inc. will serve as the designated sub-grantee, with the award subject to a financial assistance agreement between Ozaukee County and the State of Wisconsin Department of Administration. The solicitation is explicitly for design services only and does not include construction management or contractor oversight.
