About this opportunity

The Town of Madison and Madison Public Schools (ToM/MPS) has issued Request for Proposals #25-1111 for a multi-year, indefinite quantity term contract for specialty carpentry services in Middlesex County, Connecticut. The procurement seeks qualified and licensed commercial general construction/carpentry contractors to provide a variety of carpentry services on a project-by-project basis for municipal and school facilities. Potential contractors must demonstrate professional licensing, commercial construction experience, and the capability to execute specialized carpentry work across multiple potential project scopes. The solicitation requires hard-copy proposal submissions due by 12:00 Noon on November 22, 2024, with a public opening and reading of respondent names immediately following at the Facilities Department Main Office. Vendors are required to submit any questions via email to whittaker.ben@madisonps.org no later than 4:00 PM on November 15, 2024, with all questions, responses, and potential addendums to be published on the Town of Madison's website and State of CT/DAS site by 4:00 PM on November 19, 2024.

The RFP does not specify any specific set-aside designations, disadvantaged enterprise requirements, or restrictions on vendor participation beyond the need for appropriate commercial general construction/carpentry licensing. No incumbent vendor information is provided, and the solicitation appears open to all qualified contractors meeting the basic licensing and professional capabilities. While the documents do not disclose a specific estimated contract value or budget range, the multi-year, indefinite quantity structure suggests flexibility in potential project scope and total contract value. The solicitation indicates that awards will be made on a project-by-project basis, implying that multiple contractors might be selected to provide services as needed. Payment terms are noted as "vendor specified," which provides additional flexibility for potential respondents in structuring their proposals and pricing models for specialty carpentry services.
