About this opportunity

The Town of Brookline is requesting sealed bids for two separate paving projects located in Windham County, Vermont. The first project involves work on Grassy Brook Road from Parker Road to the bridge near the Brookline Town Office (approximately less than one mile in length), while the second project is located on the south side of the Papoose Bridge near address 432. Both projects may include cold planing, spot shimming, and paving work with specific overlay requirements, including full-width shims of 1 inch and overlays of 2 inches of pavement, or alternatively, spot shimming at designated locations with 1 inch shims and pavement overlay. Bidders must submit sealed bids on the provided bid form, completed legibly in ink with proper signatures and dates; bids must be submitted on a price-per-ton-in-place basis for each project separately, with lump sum bids being rejected. A mandatory Pre-Bid Conference will be held on March 11, 2026, at 10:00 AM at the Brookline Town Office (734 Grassy Brook Road, Brookline, VT), with attendance required to submit a valid bid. All bids are due by March 18, 2026, with project work commencing July 1, 2026, and completion required by September 30, 2026, after which no paving work may proceed without written consent from Mark Bills, Road Foreman.

The procurement opportunity does not specify any set-aside designations for disadvantaged enterprises, minority-owned businesses, or other restricted classifications, suggesting that all qualified contractors are eligible to submit bids. No incumbent vendors or current contractors are identified in the procurement documentation, nor is there mention of existing infrastructure or technology requirements that would necessitate integration with current systems. The opportunity does not disclose specific budget ranges or award values; however, the documentation notes that project scope may be adjusted based on the awarded price-per-ton cost, as each project has a monetary limit. Interested bidders should direct all questions and seek clarification through the mandatory Pre-Bid Conference, as no separate question submission period is referenced in the available materials.
