About this opportunity

The Colorado Department of Corrections issued a Documented Quote Solicitation for the replacement of the primary voltage transfer switch at the Trinidad Correctional Facility located at 21000 Highway 350 East, Model, Colorado 81059. The procurement seeks bids for six items: one S&C Source Transfer PMH Pad-mounted gear (25 kV, Model PMH-9), one portable remote control station with 50-foot cord, one Micro-AT communication cable, one S&C test accessory, one pentahead socket, and technical field services for training and commissioning assistance. All goods must be delivered to the facility, with installation services to be performed at a later date by a separate Primary Voltage Contractor. Bids were due on April 28, 2017, at 2:00 PM MT and required submission via email to maryann.shaw@state.co.us or by fax to (719) 269-4064. Prospective bidders must be registered on the Colorado Vendor Self Service (VSS) website to respond. Award evaluation will consider cost, projected delivery date and availability, quality and safety considerations, life-cycle costs including energy usage and maintenance, bidder qualifications and experience, and past performance. The State reserves the right to award to a single bidder or divide the award among multiple bidders as deemed in the State's best interest, and bidders may propose competitive equal products with adequate product information.

All bid prices must be submitted as FOB-destination, including freight costs, with payment terms assumed to be Net-45 days after receipt of goods and invoice unless otherwise specified. Prior to receiving a purchase order, the successful bidder must provide proof of General Liability insurance of at least $1,000,000 per occurrence and Worker's Compensation coverage as required by law. Contractors and their employees may be subject to criminal background checks and must comply with CDOC facility rules, including prohibitions on tobacco products and contraband. No set-aside designations or restrictions on organization types were specified in the solicitation. No incumbent vendors, current contractors, or specific award value ranges were identified in the available documentation.
