About this opportunity

Kenosha County is seeking bids for the replacement of two commercial washers/extractors at the Kenosha County Detention Center through a competitive bidding process. The procurement opportunity, designated as Bid #1818, was posted on July 23, 2018, with sealed bids due on August 22, 2018, at 3:00 PM CT. Potential vendors must submit their proposals to the Kenosha County Purchasing Division, located at 1010 - 56th Street in Kenosha, Wisconsin. Bid packets can be downloaded from the county's vendor portal, which requires free registration, and interested parties must submit their bids in a sealed container clearly marked with the bid number, due date, and title. Vendors are encouraged to contact Tricia Stuart, the Purchasing Specialist, at 262-653-2896 or tricia.stuart@kenoshacounty.org for specifications or to ask questions about the procurement.

The county has reserved significant flexibility in the bidding process, including the right to reject any and all bids, select the most advantageous vendor, request additional information, clarify submissions, and potentially award only partial contract components. No specific set-aside designations for disadvantaged enterprises were explicitly mentioned in the procurement documents. The county does not guarantee that a contract will be awarded, and vendors should be prepared for potential negotiation and selective awarding. While specific budget ranges were not disclosed, the procurement is focused on replacing two commercial washers/extractors at the detention center, which suggests a targeted, equipment-specific procurement. Potential bidders should be prepared to demonstrate their capability to provide high-quality commercial laundry equipment suitable for a detention center environment, with potential considerations for durability, performance, and maintenance requirements.
