About this opportunity
The State of Maine Division of Purchases is requesting quotes for replacement of a condensing unit (refrigerant type) under RFQ through the AdvantageME Vendor Self Service system, with quotes closing June 24, 2010 at 2:00 p.m. local time.
In-state bidders or those offering commodities produced or manufactured in Maine receive preference in the event of tied bids. Electronic submission is required. Questions must be submitted through the AdvantageME system Question and Answer link until 48 hours prior to bid closing; vendors are responsible for reviewing all posted questions and answers before submission.
Awards will be made to the lowest responsible bidder offering best value, with evaluation considering quality, conformity to specifications, delivery dates, and overall economy. The State reserves the right to increase or decrease quantities by up to 10% unless otherwise specified. Quotes must include separate unit prices for each item, delivered to destination with all trade and quantity discounts included. Cash discounts of 20 days or more will be considered in determining the low bidder. All transportation charges, including freight and express delivery, shall be prepaid by the contractor unless otherwise specified.
The State is exempt from Federal and Maine State Sales and Use Taxes; quotes should exclude these taxes. Bidders may submit alternate commodities with complete identification and descriptive literature. Manufacturers, importers, suppliers, or distributors of hazardous chemicals must provide current material safety data sheets in compliance with Maine's Chemical Substance Identification Law. The Division reserves the right to reject any or all quotes and waive formalities and technicalities. A photograph of the existing compressor unit is attached to support scope assessment.
