About this opportunity

The Town of Clinton, Connecticut is requesting sealed bids for the replacement of Bridge No. 06956 on Country Village Lane over Unnamed Brook (Federal Project F.A.P. # 6027(010), State Project No. 0027-0129), with bids due November 4, 2026 at 11:00 a.m. EST at Town Hall. Prospective bidders must be prequalified by the Connecticut Department of Transportation for Group No. 8A (Box Culverts) work and must have a current sworn Statement (CON-16) on file with CTDOT — this prequalification is a hard gate to bid eligibility.

The scope consists of replacing four corrugated steel arch pipes with a single 20-foot-wide by 6-foot-high precast concrete box culvert. The project is subject to Federal and State prevailing wage rate requirements. All bid submissions must include the Bid Proposal Form, Schedule of Prices, Bid Bond, Non Collusion Affidavit, and CTDOT Bidder's Prequalification approval letter signed by the CTDOT Contracts Manager. A Surety Company Bond equal to at least 30 percent of the bid amount must accompany each proposal; certified checks are not acceptable.

Plans and specifications are available through Advanced Reprographics, 50 Corporate Avenue, Plainville, CT 06062, (860) 410-1020, and online at www.advancedrepro.net. Sealed bids will be publicly opened and read immediately following the November 4 deadline. Contractors who identify discrepancies in plans, specifications, or quantities must notify the Municipality in writing at least ten days before bid opening. The Town reserves the right to reject any and all bids.
