About this opportunity
The State of Maine Department of Administrative and Financial Services, Division of Procurement Services, acting on behalf of the Department of Transportation, is requesting quotations for fifteen replacement light poles at regular elevations, with quotes due March 17, 2022 at 4:00 p.m. EST via the State's Advantage Vendor Self Service (VSS) electronic procurement system.
The scope calls for fifteen conventional light standards with 40-foot overall height and round tapered shaft design. All poles must meet LRFD specifications for structural supports and withstand a 120 mph basic wind speed (700-year mean recurrence interval). Manufacturers must submit unit pricing on an FOB Destination basis (all shipping charges included), along with Appendix A cover page and debarment form (wet or electronic signatures), manufacturer's shop drawings and engineer's design computations signed by a licensed professional engineer, product data sheets documenting specification compliance, and warranty information. All units must be delivered to 66 Industrial Drive, Augusta, Maine.
Evaluation will be conducted on a best value basis, with conformity to specifications and delivery timeline as primary factors. Once conformance is established, the lowest-priced compliant bid will be selected. The State is exempt from federal, state, and local taxes and will not include these in quotations.
Questions must be submitted via VSS no later than 48 hours before the closure date (by March 15, 2022). The State reserves the right to negotiate with the successful bidder for additional units at the bid price for six months following award. No guaranteed award quantity is associated with this RFQ. Delivery is expected after receipt of order (ARO), which may factor into the award decision. The RFQ does not specify a contract term or renewal options.
