About this opportunity
Broward County is seeking a pool contract for the removal of derelict vessels within marine recreational areas in the City of Fort Lauderdale. The solicitation, identified as Event 453-0, aims to establish a contract with qualified vendors capable of systematically removing abandoned or non-operational vessels from specified waterways. The procurement process requires all questions and bid submissions to be completed through the Infor Supplier Portal, marking a transition to a new Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system for procurement activities. Potential vendors must register through the supplier portal at https://sms-fortlauderdale-prd.inforcloudsuite.com/fsm/SupplyManagementSupplier/form/Supplier%28COFL,0%29.RegistrationProfile, with the solicitation posted on April 22, 2025, and a firm submission deadline of May 7, 2025. The contract will be awarded on an as-needed basis, with vendors expected to demonstrate full compliance with all solicitation terms, conditions, and specifications related to marine vessel removal services.
While specific set-aside designations are not explicitly detailed in the provided documentation, the procurement appears to be open to a broad range of qualified marine salvage and vessel removal contractors. The solicitation suggests a competitive bidding process through the new Infor Supplier Portal, which may inherently provide opportunities for diverse vendors. The contract appears structured as a pool contract, indicating multiple vendors might be selected to provide vessel removal services. Unfortunately, no specific budget range or estimated contract value is disclosed in the current documentation. The procurement is specifically focused on Broward County, with a particular emphasis on the City of Fort Lauderdale's marine recreational areas. Interested vendors will need to complete the supplier registration process and carefully review all solicitation requirements to ensure eligibility and compliance with the contract's technical and operational specifications.
