About this opportunity

The Commonwealth of Kentucky, through the Finance and Administration Cabinet and the Department of Agriculture, is seeking bids for the Removal of Agricultural Chemical Pesticides. The selected vendor will be responsible for the packaging, labeling, transportation, and incineration of concentrated agricultural chemical pesticides and non-hazardous pesticide rinse water from a primary storage site in Western Kentucky and potentially satellite sites across the Commonwealth. The total estimated annual quantity of pesticide waste is 40,000 pounds. Bids are due by May 24, 2022, and the contract is anticipated to start on August 2, 2022, with an initial one-year term and four one-year renewal options. Pricing will be evaluated on a best value basis, with 90 points for price and 10 points for the vendor's experience.

The Commonwealth will apply reciprocal preferences for Kentucky resident bidders, as well as preferences for qualified bidders and the Department of Corrections. The vendor will be responsible for maintaining a minimum of 90 over-pack drums and for any fines or penalties resulting from noncompliance. The contract may be extended for four additional one-year periods upon mutual agreement. No information is provided regarding set-asides, incumbents, or the budget range for this contract opportunity.
