Vendors are explicitly instructed not to include taxes from which the Town is legally exempted, and the municipality will complete any necessary tax exemption forms within its legal parameters.
The solicitation does not specify any specific set-aside designations or restrictions on participating organizations, suggesting the bid is open to a wide range of waste management vendors. No incumbent vendors or current contractors are mentioned in the documentation, and there are no explicit details about existing infrastructure or technology integration requirements. The procurement documents do not provide a total estimated value or specific budget range for the waste removal services. While no specific evaluation criteria are outlined in the available information, the bid appears to be a straightforward service contract focused on municipal waste management capabilities. The Town of Groton will likely evaluate vendors based on their ability to effectively and efficiently remove and dispose of fats, oils, grease, and grit from the Water Pollution Control Facility, with potential considerations for pricing, service reliability, and compliance with municipal waste management regulations.
