About this opportunity

The state and local contract opportunity is a procurement issued by the Dallas Area Rapid Transit Authority (DART) located in Dallas County, Texas, seeking a remote control system specifically for a light assembly kit with an amber LED interior indicator for door closure, identified by project number 044812. The solicitation requires potential vendors to complete Bonfire registration to access detailed bidding information and requires submission by July 29, 2025. Vendors must comply with specific freight and delivery terms, including FOB Destination shipping with freight costs integrated into the overall price, and acknowledge that timely delivery is critical, with potential default termination for failure to meet specified delivery schedules. DART mandates comprehensive invoice documentation, including purchase order number, item descriptions, quantities, unit prices, and extended totals, with invoices to be submitted electronically to APInvoices@dart.org. The procurement emphasizes strict compliance with purchase order terms and conditions, which will be evaluated based on vendors' ability to meet technical specifications, delivery timelines, and comprehensive documentation requirements.

The contract opportunity does not explicitly specify set-aside designations or restrictions on respondent organizations. However, the comprehensive terms and conditions suggest a preference for vendors capable of meeting stringent technical and logistical requirements. The purchase order terms include important compliance provisions such as equal opportunity requirements and certifications regarding foreign terrorist organizations. While no specific incumbent vendors are mentioned, the solicitation implies integration with existing DART transit infrastructure and technology systems. Payment terms are standardized at Net 30, with invoices processed 30 days from receipt or order completion. Though no specific award value or budget range is provided in the available documentation, the detailed technical specifications for the light assembly kit suggest a specialized procurement targeting vendors with specific manufacturing capabilities in transit vehicle component production. Potential respondents should carefully review the attached Purchase Order Terms and Conditions document to fully understand the comprehensive requirements and expectations of this procurement opportunity.
