About this opportunity
Dallas Area Rapid Transit Authority (DART) is seeking to procure refrigerant R407C for HVAC systems through a competitive bidding process. The specific procurement involves the purchase of refrigerant containers, with each container representing 25 pounds of R407C. The solicitation was posted on October 17, 2025, with responses due by October 23, 2025, requiring potential vendors to register through the Bonfire platform to access detailed bidding information. Vendors must submit comprehensive pricing that includes freight costs and adheres to FOB Destination shipping terms, as DART does not typically accept alternative shipping arrangements. The procurement emphasizes strict delivery timelines, with the authority reserving the right to reject and terminate the order if delivery specifications are not met. Vendors must provide detailed invoices with specific information including purchase order number, item descriptions, quantities, unit prices, and extended totals. Evaluation criteria are not explicitly detailed in the available documentation, but compliance with technical specifications and delivery terms will likely be key considerations.
While no specific set-aside designations or enterprise restrictions are explicitly mentioned in the procurement documents, the opportunity appears open to qualified vendors who can meet DART's technical and operational requirements. The purchase order terms and conditions document includes important provisions regarding equal opportunity requirements and vendor certifications, including assurances that the vendor does not conduct business with designated foreign terrorist organizations. Payment terms are standardized at Net 30, with invoices to be submitted electronically to APInvoices@dart.org. The procurement is specifically for Dallas County, Texas, and governed by local and state regulations. Though no specific budget range is provided for this refrigerant procurement, the document suggests a focused, targeted acquisition aligned with DART's HVAC maintenance and operational needs. Potential vendors should carefully review the attached Purchase Order Terms and Conditions document, which provides comprehensive guidelines for doing business with DART and outlines vendor responsibilities, warranties, and legal obligations.
