About this opportunity

Palm Beach County Purchasing Department issued a Request for Quotation (RFQ) for the purchase and delivery of LP gas ranges for Palm Beach County Fire Rescue on April 20, 2017, with a submission deadline of April 27, 2017 at 4:00 p.m. Palm Beach County Local Time. The procurement seeks firm, fixed pricing for three specific gas range models: a 36-inch Imperial Model IR-4-G12-P (estimated quantity 4 units), a 48-inch Imperial Model IR-4-RG24 (estimated quantity 1 unit), and a 60-inch Imperial Model IR-6-RG24 (estimated quantity 1 unit), or approved equal models meeting specified salient characteristics. Quotations must be submitted on an all-or-none basis with all items bid to be considered responsive, and pricing must remain firm for ninety days from the date of opening to allow for evaluation and award. The successful bidder shall be responsible for all transportation charges and risk in transit on an F.O.B. destination basis, with deliveries made Monday through Friday, excluding holidays. The resulting contract shall be issued for an initial term of twelve months or until the estimated amount is expended, at the County's discretion, with an option to renew for four additional twelve-month periods upon mutual written agreement and subject to Board appropriation of funds. All submitted equipment must meet industry and safety standards with manufacturer warranty covering defects in materials and workmanship from the date of delivery and acceptance.

Palm Beach County shall award to the lowest responsive, responsible bidder; however, Small Business Enterprise (SBE) certified firms within 10 percent of the lowest bid and Local Preference businesses in Palm Beach County may receive preferential consideration of five percent. All vendors must comply with non-discrimination policies, criminal history record check ordinances, drug-free workplace certifications, and maintain appropriate business tax receipts or certifications of business location. Responses are acceptable via fax or email submission. No incumbent vendors, existing infrastructure requirements, or specific budget ranges were identified in the solicitation documents. The RFQ does not specify a total award value; however, the contract term and renewal options provide for extended engagement contingent upon fund availability and mutual agreement between the County and the selected vendor.
