About this opportunity

Palm Beach County issued a Request for Quotation (RFQ) for the purchase and delivery of LP gas ranges under a term contract, posted on April 19, 2019, with a submission deadline of April 25, 2019 at 4:00 p.m. Eastern Time. The County is procuring five specific models of commercial LP gas ranges: a 36-inch IMPERIAL Model #IR-4-G12-P (4 units), a 48-inch IMPERIAL Model #IR-4-RG24 (1 unit), a 60-inch IMPERIAL Model #IR-6-RG24 (1 unit), another 36-inch IMPERIAL Model #IR-6 (3 units), and a 48-inch IMPERIAL Model #IR-6-G12 (2 units). All ranges must be freestanding, propane-fueled units with stainless steel exteriors, multiple burners with specific BTU ratings, cast iron anti-clogging burners, standing pilots, adjustable feet, and standard ovens as detailed in the solicitation documents. The successful vendor will be awarded an initial contract term of twelve months or until the estimated amount is expended at the County's discretion, with an option to renew for four additional twelve-month periods at the original unit prices, subject to mutual written agreement and Board appropriation of funds. Vendors must submit all quotations on an all-or-none basis, with pricing firm and fixed for ninety days from the opening date and remaining firm throughout the initial and any subsequent renewal terms; failure to provide quotations for every item renders the entire response non-responsive. Delivery shall be F.O.B. destination with the vendor assuming all transportation costs and responsibility for loss or damage in transit. All equipment must be new, of current manufacture at the time of quote submission, carry factory warranties, and include at least two complete shop repair manuals and maintenance instructions upon delivery. Quotations may be submitted via fax or email to the Purchasing Department.

Palm Beach County has established a local preference program offering a 5% preference to vendors with a permanent place of business in Palm Beach County, and an additional 5% Glades preference for vendors located in the Glades region. The County also requires compliance with its Equal Business Opportunity (EBO) Ordinance; vendors must complete Schedule 1 and Schedule 2 forms to document small, minority, and women-owned business (S/M/WBE) subcontractor participation if applicable. Vendors may receive a drug-free workplace preference in the event of tied bids upon submission of a Drug-Free Workplace Certification. The solicitation document indicates that bid tabulation and award information was prepared following the submission deadline, reflecting competitive pricing analysis from multiple bidders. However, the RFQ documents do not specify the total budget allocation or estimated contract value for this procurement. The County reserves the right to increase or decrease quantities as necessary to meet actual requirements, providing flexibility in the contract execution to align with operational needs.
